I’m a photographer.
Not a portrait photographer, baby photographer, or even a wedding photographer….
I’m just a photographer who enjoys shooting what I find intriguing, moving, mysterious, inspiring…beautiful!
I love Black and White.
But I also love color.
I love elegance, but also edge.
Light/ethereal, and dark/moody.
And I love the coolness, but also enjoy the silliness just as much.
I have a background in portraiture, editorial, and fashion.
I am many different people, but I think most of us are, aren’t we?
I studied photography at SVA (School of Visual Arts), where I’ve also had the opportunity to teach Pre-College, and what an honor that has been! I truly enjoy teaching students, as well as learning from them, as I strongly believe that we should never stop learning.
I don’t like working from a list. I prefer capturing the spontaneous……the moments that will really mean something to you in 20…30….50 years! The moments when you’re really being YOU.
Don’t get me wrong, I still like “the portrait,” but it has to be the right portrait that has YOU written all over it!
And that’s the beauty of it all, that we all grow, we transition, we change, we even forget, and that’s why it’s so important to capture those special moments that will remind us of that certain feeling, or that particular emotion, or even of who WE WERE back then…and THAT’S what it’s really all about! Black & White/Color, elegance/edge, fashion/editorial, that’s secondary.
